In your general description,usb for rdp has bellow features:

USB device drivers are not required on workstation side
All USB device types are supported

But when I plug an usb card reader, the workstation can only recognaize it after installing the card reader's driver.
why?

Do you mean "USB for RDP Workstation" or your PC which is workstation?
Anyway please enable auto-redirecting on USB for RDP Workstation and replug the device. It will be redirected fine without the drivers on the workstation's side.

thanks for your answer.
I installed usb for rdp workstation on my pc.
The problem is that if I don't install the driver on my pc, the usb for rdp workstation software can not recognaize it and redirect,even i check auto redirect option.
