IOCTL_SERIAL_GET_MODEMSTATUS

I have been using your software successfully for a long time.

When I run the application from my PC that has the Serial device connected directly to it, and I monitor the port using PortMon, I see the commands sent and received. There are no extraneous messages.

However when I run the application from Citrix (an application server), with the Serial device connected to my local PC, I see hundreds of thousands of IOCTL_SERIAL_GET_MODEMSTATUS and IOCTL_SERIAL_GET_COMMSTATUS being sent within seconds.

I know it’s not my application since I see these same messages when running Windows standard “HyperTerminal” application from Citrix. I realize this infers that it’s not an ACTIVE/X software problem either (since in the case of HyperTerminal, ACTIVE/X software is not even in the picture). However, I was wondering if there was anything that can be done to prevent these requests from being sent (maybe some config parameter in Active/X, etc..)

I will be sending you a snapshot of the messages via Email.

Thanks,
Awaiting your response.

Elliott, it seems this situation is caused by Citrix environment.

But I can advice you to use our "Network Serial Port Kit" software to redirect your COM-port to the RDP session.

You can download 15-days trial version here:
http://fabulatech.com/network-serial-port-kit-download.html

Network Serial Port Kit allows you to work with any serial devices connected to remote computers as if they were connected directly to your PC.

Please try it and tell me your results.

Thanks! Awaiting your reply.
